Each year we rescue 400-500 cases from all over northern Vancouver Island. When we consider how much it costs our society to provide the best of care possible until the final dispostion, to enable us to put on educational programs for schools, to attend events throughout the area with our educational ambassadors, to provide our advice on wildlife issues and assist with conserrvation efforts, then it works out to about $223 per patient.
This year we lost a significant source of funding and we need to call upon the communities that we serve to help us help wildlife. Some folks want to volunteer, others want to donte items that are useful, and still other (thank goodness!!!) want to give a gift of money.
